ABOUT THE PROJECT

Similar to the Fairmont Heritage Place project, our goal of this project was to improve the user experience. Meetings are a very important piece of Fairmont's overall business, so this project was not only foused on migrating the current content on fairmontmeetings.com, but also creating new content to provide more tools to the meeting planner.

Some new sections that we introduced were Interactive Floor plans and customizable menus. My role in this project was working directly with the hotels to populate a content document for each section that was going to be on the new site. Some content was reused from the mircrosite, and other content was new. I also worked with our vendor that created all the interactive floor plans. And finally I worked with technology to create the new templates and add them to our CMS. This was quite a complex project in terms of the number of stakeholders involved (70+ hotel digital teams) and the amount of content being migrated and created.
